Chicago Youth Centers (CYC) wants to ensure you get the most fulfilling experience out of your internship. Work as many hours as you need, and choose your areas of focus!

You can choose from:

  • Early Learning

  • Out-of-School Time in CYC Centers

  • CYC on Campus school-based programs

  • Education Support Initiative for youth in care

Center hours are 7am-7pm with flexible scheduling. All CYC locations have near by public transportation.

Skills and experience you can gain:

Early Learning Internships

Head Start Program Partnership for children 15 months - 5 years old, at 6 Centers & 8 Partner Sites.

  • Undergrad, Graduate, Doctoral, & Practicum hours available

  • Teaching (bilingual classroom options)

  • Family Services & Support

  • Food Aide/Nutrition

  • Metal Health & Well-being

  • Health & Safety Education

  • Data & Quality

  • Community Needs Assessment

  • Administrative & Office Management

  • Creative Arts Education

  • Literacy & Language

  • Program Assessment & Evaluation

Out-of-School Time Internships

After School & Summer Programs for children 6 - 18 years old, at 3 Centers & 8 In-School Partner Sites.

  • Family Engagement

  • Community Engagement

  • STEAM Initiative Assistant
