Monitoring and Evaluation

CYC uses a variety of quantitative and qualitative strategies to monitor and evaluate our outcomes and goals. We administer pre- and post- surveys to evaluate student growth in social-emotional skills, STEM engagement, and attitudes about school. We also collect report data to monitor attendance and academic achievement.

Continuous Improvement

CYC is in the process of enhancing our data and analytics collections to increase fidelity in data reporting. We are working to ensure intentionality with our data monitoring and analysis to track comprehensive goals that align our outcomes with programming. CYC has dedicated staff members whose roles focus on data and analytics to increase CYC’s ability to accurately report outcomes and effectively use data to inform programming.

Collaboration

As members of the Chicago Benchmarking Collaborative, CYC shares knowledge with partners to determine proven best practices and place our results in context with other leading agencies. Through this work and streamlining our data collection process, CYC has refined our outcomes matrix and impact framework to track the most relevant student outcomes.
